Bristow's UK SAR Supports the Lionheart Challenge

December 09, 2013

Rear Crew Coordinator Tony Campbell represented Bristow’s UK SAR at the fourth annual Lionheart Challenge National Final.

The nationally acclaimed Lionheart Challenge program, established in 2009, aims to promote and develop entrepreneurial and enterprising spirit in today’s youth.

Students from 11 schools across nine regions of England and Wales were tasked with developing the most innovative product or device to assist in the survival of an extreme environment. During the event, Campbell answered student’s questions and shared his own experiences of search and rescue operations.

“As a commercial organization involved in search and rescue operations around the world, Bristow is always keen to be involved in helping to develop the next generation of business leaders.”

“As a commercial organization involved in search and rescue operations around the world, Bristow is always keen to be involved in helping to develop the next generation of business leaders. The pupils came up with some fantastic concepts and it’s exactly the type of entrepreneurial thinking that that we value in our own research teams that have been responsible for helping to develop state of the art search and rescue helicopter technology,” Campbell said.
