Keir Williams Wins AHRI R U OK? Champion Award

October 31, 2014

The Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) announced Bristow Human Resources Manager Keir Williams as its 2014 AHRI R U OK? Champion.

Finalists for the AHRI Workplace Award are judged for their strengths in empowering others, being inclusive, respectful, fostering culture and leadership.

Williams promoted R U OK? Day by speaking at numerous leadership meetings around the world, providing management with tools to engage employees and helping to communicate the project globally.

"Keir has made an impact in her community with R U OK? Day efforts by demonstrating these qualities since she became involved with the cause three years ago," said Bristow Australia Business Unit (AUSBU) Director Allan Blake. "She has dedicated a great deal of time and effort to this cause, designing a program to implement within all six Bristow business units across 20 countries around the world."

“She has dedicated a great deal of time and effort to this cause, designing a program to implement within all six Bristow business units across 20 countries around the world.”

Williams also created the slogan "Keep Calm and Ask R U OK?" for the effort and produced materials with this branding to Bristow employees globally.

"While being recognized outside of our company for the work that I do promoting the R U OK? Day Foundation is a real privilege, the real endorsement lies with our leadership group – many of whom have embraced the simple concept of promoting a conversation and raising awareness to say that it is ok to say you're not ok," said Williams. "I have seen first-hand the benefit of these interactions. This is the reason why I firmly believe, promote and champion such a wonderful concept and organization."
