Bristow Africa Expands Fixed-Wing Service, Launches New Lagos – Abuja Route
Bristow Africa expanded its jet charter service December 5, 2016, adding new flights between Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria, that complement its existing jet charter service between Lagos and Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Utilizing one of its two 37-passenger Embraer 135 aircraft operating for fixed-wing service in the country, the new flights operate five days per week, providing safe, reliable and convenient service to clients in an area that is currently underserved. Clients can book any number of seats on each flight, or charter the entire aircraft.
"This new route is an example of how Bristow is further diversifying to provide end-to-end transportation services for principally oil and gas industry customers who are based in the triangle of cities of Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt," said Bristow Africa Regional Director Akin Oni. "We are seeing growing interest in our Nigerian jet charter service and anticipate such demand to increase as we continue to prove the value of our fixed-wing service to our clients. This new route provides an opportunity to grow in an unsaturated and lucrative market to satisfy clients looking for more reliable and comfortable flights, especially into the Federal Capital Territory."
Bristow’s private terminal facilities feature business lounges with comfortable seating, free internet service, complimentary refreshments and dedicated customer service personnel. The flights are configured in a two-by-one seating arrangement with every traveler having an aisle or window seat.
Bristow launched jet charter service in November 2015 to target the growing demand for reliable, integrated aviation services in Nigeria, similar to what Bristow offers through Eastern Airways in the UK and Airnorth in Australia. By connecting fixed-wing with rotary-wing flights, Bristow offers seamless point-to-point scheduled and charter transportation services for clients transporting workers offshore.
