Bristow Unveils First AW189 Search and Rescue Aircraft at Energy Ball
Bristow's Europe Business Unit (EBU) unveiled the first AW189 search and rescue aircraft at this year's Energy Ball. Several pilots and engineers worked very hard over the weekend to ensure the aircraft's presence at the event went well.
Bristow and AgustaWestland were title sponsors of the event. The evening started with a private reception for Bristow and AgustaWestland's 50 guests, giving them exclusive access to the AW189 aircraft. Once the guests were seated, Bristow organized the host of the event, Press & Journal editor Damien Bates, to be winched from the ceiling as a very dramatic entrance. Guests were then treated to the Kintore pipe band and comedian Jason Manford.
"The feedback from the clients has been utterly great, everyone has said what a great night they had and thoroughly enjoyed their evening," said Bristow's Jill Florence. "Now we just need to think about how we can make next year even better!"
"Special thanks to Andy Beattie, Richard Hay, Guy Holmes, Tosh Laird, Garry Williams and Frank Merson," said Florence. "Without them, the night would not have been so successful."
